CONSTIPATION AURVEDIC CURE & SIMPLE HERBAL HOME BASED INDIAN REMEDIES

 

Thanks to modern lifestyle and irregular eating habits, every 8 of 10 people now suffer from constipation. Problems like constipation and other intestinal conditions occur due to the lack of fiber in the food. Actually in spite of nutrition, proteins and other elements which make the meal NUTRITIOUS, our body still needs the elements which helps in smooth process of motion (the call of nature).For this we need to include cellulose-rich food in our diet which provide some fiber . Fiber doesn’t get digested so it stops digested food from sticking in the intestines. In other words, just like we use a brush to remove oil from utensils, the fiber-rich food works like a brush for digested food in our intestines.

 Constipation badly affects the body structure and metabolism. So it can cause many stomach problems. Due to constipation, body loses its ability to work on its own. It then causes gas trouble, indigestion, stomach-pain, headache, pain in all limbs, and the dreaded Piles.

Ayurveda believes that Constipation is very much avoidable conditions and it is upon our actions/habit whether we will be affected from it or not. Hence Ayurveda has listed some causes /reasons of constipation which are as following:--

  1. Not eating on regular times. Eating anytime or eating several times a day.
  2. Drinking very less amount of water.
  3. Irregular lifestyle. Not sleeping properly (insomnia) or sleeping too much(especially in day-time)
  4. Lack of exercise and physical movements.
  5. Excessive use of pain-killers and other OTC medicines.
  6. Drinking too much cold-drinks, ice-creams, pastries and chocolates etc.
  7. Eating too many spicy and fried foods in meals.
  8. Forcefully stopping natural calls.
  9. Excessive smoking or use of prohibitive drugs.

 

Staying away from above listed habits/avoiding them totally will ensure that you will never be affected by constipation problem. But ayurveda also suggests some home based herbal remedies for the treatment and cure from constipation. These remedies / methods are listed below:--

  1. At nights, keep drinking water in a cup (bowl) of Copper. Drink this water on empty stomach in the morning.
  2. Put some lemon juice, half spoonful sendha namak(rock salt) and kala namak (black salt) in a glass of slightly hot water. Drinking this water on empty stomach early in the morning. Stomach and intestine will be cleaned within -15-20 minutes. It’s a tested ayurvedic home remedy for the Constipation.
  3. Eat 1-2 apples every morning without removing their scale.
  4. Include sprouted foods in your morning breakfast.
  5. Always masticate the food properly. Drink water only after 10-15 minutes after finishing the meal.
  6. Include Spinach, Amaranth, and Turnip, fenugreek, tomato and carrot in your meals.
  7. Keep eating small amount of raw onion and lemon juice with meal.
  8. Grind green Cilantro, some ginger and some mint together. Now, According to taste put some black salt, grinded black pepper and lemon juice in it. Eat some amount of this dish with your meals regularly.
  9. Gram is very useful for people suffering from constipation. Keep the grams in a bowl of water in night. Eat them early in the morning. It is very important to masticate (chew) them a lot. It provides relief in constipation.
  10.  In fruits, Papaya, orange and Guava are very useful. Eat Guava only before the meal ( never after the meal).
