Two Essential Vitamins

With so many plants and herbs in the world, it can be difficult to find which ones help certain conditions. Most people can benefit from some sort of supplementation, depending on their activity level, and their individual biochemical makeup. Since each person is different, and since each person has different genetics, it is hard to find a one type fits all solution when it comes to medicine and supplements.

Whether you’re dealing with humans or animals, we all need essential nutrients and food. The more you learn about what animals need to eat, you see a few common factors. For example, learning what chickens eat from The Hen’s Egg, you see that chickens need to eat their vitamins and minerals, and need their Vitamin D to lay eggs.

One vitamin that is very effective for almost everyone is vitamin C. Vitamin C has been shown to have so many different health benefits, and so little side effect, that it’s hard to go wrong. Since vitamin C is water soluble and excreted through the urine, it is very easy for your body to regulate amounts of this supplement. This means that there are apparently many more Pros than there are cons. While it’s still important to check with your doctor before starting any supplements, this is definitely one that you should bring up.

Vitamin C is especially helpful to regulating and maintaining your immune system, dealing with oxidative stress, helping to lessen anxiety, and promoting better digestion of your food.

Another important vitamin that you’ve probably heard of is vitamin D, this vitamin is extremely important, and the majority of the population is deficient in it. This is because we live such busy lives, and it is often hard to find time to go outside and ensure we are getting enough Sun. Vitamin D is important for many reasons, it helps our skin, are bones, our immune systems, or digestion, and the formation of our hormones and neurotransmitters. Without vitamin D our body runs into a lot of very nasty problems, this is why it’s important to ensure that your medical doctor is checking your vitamin D levels at least twice a year.

These two vitamins are often talked about, but many people never really take any action.
